From beginner lessons and cabochon cutting to hands-on gem activities; everything you need to release your creativity, right here in the 805 and BEYOND!
For our youngest rockhounds: the Pebble Pups kids club brings the wonder of rocks, gems, and earth science to children and families in a fun, welcoming environment. Because curiosity about the earth starts early and shouldn't end.

What happens next: Applications are approved monthly at our Board of Directors' meetings. Once approved, you'll be welcomed by email or mail with our By-Laws and the latest Rock Bag newsletter. You'll also join our email list for meeting notices (with virtual attendance info), monthly digital Rock Bag issues, and club announcements.

Hi! Here's a rock for you!
First-time guests are welcome at any monthly meeting at no charge. When you visit an OGMS meeting or show for the first time, we'll give you a rock. Not a pebble from the parking lot — an actual specimen, chosen to be interesting and worth keeping.
Maybe a piece of tumbled agate from a California desert. Maybe a small crystal point. Maybe something with a great story attached.
It's a small gesture, but it's an important one. Every person in this club started by picking something up and thinking: what is this? We want to give you that moment.
How It Works: Just let us know it's your first time. At a meeting, mention it when you sign in. We'll take care of the rest. This is a one-time gift, don't be that person tryna come back multiple times to game the system, c'mon, we feel your passion and we covet all the rocks, too; be cool, we love you.
